Welcome to the most exciting section of the library! We believe that the foundation for a lifetime of learning starts with curiosity, creativity, and fun. Our children's Programs are designed to be a safe, welcoming, and enriching space where young patrons, from toddlers to school-aged kids, can connect with books, discover new skills, and make friends.

We offer a wide range of actvites focused on early literacy, S.T.E.A.M concepts (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) and social devlopment. Check out our program schedule below and find the perfect opportunity for your child to read, explore, and simply be a kid!

After School Programs

Summer Reading Program

Homework Help: Dedicated time is set aside each session for quiet study, with staff available to assist with reading assignments, math problems, and general homework completion.

Literacy Focus: We incorporate fun reading challenges and interactive activites designed to boost reading comprehension and vocabulary in a low-pressure setting.

S.T.E.A.M. Activites: We engage kids with hands-on projects, including building challenges, simple coding exercises, and science experiments that encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Safe Social Time: This is a supervised, positive space for children to socialize, utilize our board game and puzzle collections, play with legos, building blocks, color or paint and so much more fun we offer and enjoy creative play before heading home.

Summer Reading Program

Our Summer Reading Program is desgined to be fun, flexible, and rewarding for everyone in the family! Here is what you can look forward to:

Reading Challenges & Logging: Track the books you read of the time you spend reading from the beginning of the program to the end. We give a log to all the students to record their progress. Every book or hour read brings you closer to earning prizes!

Prizes & Rewards: For every milestone you hit on your reading log, you'll earn small prizes, coupons from local businesses, and entries into our Grand Prize Raffle. The more you read, the more chances you have to win!

Fun Entertainment: Every summer we have several different entertainment events. Whether its a magician, or author talk it is something exciting to look forward to!

Outdoor Activites: Throughout the reading program we have dedicated time for our students to enjoy lots of different activites outside. Whether its outdoor bowling, volleyball or other games, or its scavenger hunts, wateter games and much more we have something exciting always happening.
